    Why choose a digital mammogram?

    • Faster image time - within 8 to 10 seconds from capture to viewing on a computer screen
    • Clearer images - captured electronically and not recorded on x-ray film
    • More views of your breast tissue, resulting in fewer call backs for additional views.  Approximately 25% less exposure to radiation versus traditional mammograms
    • Improved contrast for people who have breast implants

When you choose Castle Rock Adventist Health Campus, your mammogram will be read twice, first by our certified breast radiologists and then with a computer-aided second read program. We are fully accredited by the FDA and the American College of Radiology and meet all requirements set forth by MQSA - Mammography Quality Standards Act.

    What to Wear

    Dressing rooms

Gowns and lockers are available for personal items and valuables.

On the day of your exam do not wear perfume, powder or lotion under your arms or on your brasts and these can sometimes interfere with the interpretation of the exam.

After your mammogram has been reviewed by our board-certified radiologist, you will be notified by mail of the results of your screening mammogram if there are no findings. A copy of the report will be sent to your primary care physician as well. Should we detect something that requires additional testing for further clarification, our mammographer will follow-up with you with a phone call.
